Ya, as a republican who doesn't vote democrat, I would not vote for nearly any democrat, but I do have a favorable impression of General Clark. If Clark is the 08 nominee, I’ll stomach my liking of him, and vote for some retard like George Bush or George Allen I suppose. In 04 I used to tell my liberal friends that Clark was the best choice, and they'd get very mad and show me their Dean signs who I never cared for. To me Clark is the obvious choice by a landslide for a democratic nominee in 2008. Powell has been making some pretty liberal speeches as of late. Why not a Clark\Powell ticket. Just a thought. Probably a little bit too much military in that ticket for the left but you never know….

I do think
Clark presents himself as more liberal than he actually is to some extent on national security issues. Then again he is a smart man. You don't rise to Supreme Allied Commander if you don't know how to be political.

Valdictorian at West Point, Rhode Scholar, 4 stars, speaks 4 or 5 languages, economics grad school degree. He seems like the perfect democratic nominee to me. I suppose they'll nominate Dukakis, Gore, Kerry the regular big government lib though.
