Why McCain and I Should be Allowed to be President

The Constitution says "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President." The Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787. Isn't McCain old enough to have been alive then? This is the same reason Hamilton was eligible to be President (contrary to the common public understanding) even though he was born in the West Indies.
