Now thats really a bunch of spin...bullshit. You, meaning the Republicans, have had the Presidency and a clear majority in Congress only once since 1980...during 6 years of the Bush II administration.

I wont regale you with how massively fucked up the country is under that stewardship. But in any case conservative " activism" is called gridlock and your "side" has been practicing it since the" Reagan Revolution"  But by all means keep thinking

I'll have bragging rights

because thats precisely why we are we are today. Its not about pride of accomplishment nor anything of permanence...its simply grabbing a few tax cuts, greed, self enrichment and bragging rights.

But in any case conservative " activism" is called gridlock and your "side" has been practicing it since the" Reagan Revolution".

The objective of conservatives has always been preventing Democrats from advancing their socialist agenda in a game of keep away. In the last 27 years, Democrats have controlled all branches of government for only two years: 1993-1994. Voters were so outraged with their performance that they overhwhelmingly voted the bums out of power in the "Tsunami of 1994". People didn't like Democrat Party control.

Will Democrats recapture power again in 2008? There's a very good chance of that happening. Even Haley's Comet comes around once every 72 years.

But after Democrats spend two years trying to ram their agenda down our throats with surrender to al Qaeda, socialized medicine, gay marriage, instant citizenship for 12 million new Democrat voters, how do you think voters will respond in the 2010 midterm elections?

It will look a lot like 1994.

with surrender to al Qaeda,

who specifically has said they want to surrender to al Qeada. Tell us Ken...we are dying to hear it.

"we are dying to hear it"

Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton will start drawing down troops immediately. Iraq. Afghanistan. And every other Middle East deployment.

Then, what will happen next?

That is not what you have said in the past about Hillary.

Fred and Zippy love to tell this forum the way things are, and they way things are going to be. But I missed something.

Does anyone remember those guys telling us who they voted for in the NY and FL primaries?

And Zippy frequently claims to be a "Former Republican". Who is the last Republican that Zippy voted for in a presidential election? How about an honest answer?

And I voted for Bush I.  I've gotten my sanity since then.  Thus far the stuff Zip posts makes a ton more sense than what you post.

And Bush II surrendered to the terrorists already. He did so when he used their own tactics to scare us into Iraq.  He did so when he used their terror tactics to scare us into giving up our freedoms for "Homeland Security."  He surrenders to the terrorists every single time he uses fear to scare us into supporting his latest hare-brained schemes designed to fatten the pocketbooks of his handlers and concentrate power in the Executive.

He's Osama bin Laden's greatest ally. So is every Republican who supports his policies.  Vote for more of the same and the terrorists win again.

So don't blather idiocies like "surrender" when brave people talk about getting us the HELL out of the messes the fear-mongering terrorist-kissing Repugnicons have gotten us into.  It's just stupid and sad to see.

Didnt Reagan "surrender to terrorists" when he pulled out of Lebanon?

While he was busy growing government, racking up the national debt, and giving amnesty to illegal immigrants.

Reagan is not Reaganesque!  Somebody tell Rush!

Fred and Zippy love to tell this forum the way things are,

Really? Dont make me get out the Ken quote book.

If you must know I voted for McCain. Besides I was voting while you were a itty bitty zygote

"If you must know I voted for McCain."

MRFred voted for McCain in the FL primary, and KenTX will vote for Obama in the TX primary.

Ultimately, Obama will win the White House, because 2008 is the year of the Democrat.

But the pay-off will be witnessing the end of Hillary Clinton's presidential aspirations. I will volunteer to pack up her campaign headquarters.

There it is.

"Ultimately, Obama will win the White House, because 2008 is the year of the Democrat.

But the pay-off will be witnessing the end of Hillary Clinton's presidential aspirations. I will volunteer to pack up her campaign headquarters."

Spoken like a true Limbaugh fan. If it all does come true do not forget to send a thank you note to the person who made it all possible.

Thank you too Ken

I'm voting for Barack Obama in the Democrat Primary because I love America.

Mr Fred voted for John McCain in the Republican Primary because he hates America.

Mr Fred is a Conservative Democrat.

KenTX is a Liberal Republican.

Our votes always cancel each other out.

Last Republican President Bob Dole. Prior to that Bush Sr. twice. Couldn't vote for Bush Jr. though, politicians who wave the Bible around too much give me the creeps. I had a huge problem with that when I lived in the South.

Last Republican period was Jim Walsh in 02. Bush Jr destroyed his career so I will not get the opportunity again.

I am a registered independent in NY so I can not vote in the primaries.

Any more questions?

predictions. Your not very good at it.

They never said Afghanistan and you know it. In fact both candidates have stated that there will be more emphasis on Afghanistan which incidentally the bulk of al Qeada is ( and Wasiristan

"And every other Middle East deployment" is simply a lie.

But the Republican plan is and has been following Osamas playbook...by ignoring his clearly stated strategy So thur stupidity your right wing friends have deliverd two of his three major objectives so far.

But don't worry , your sheik friends will battle on in Iraq

I forgot to ask.

Since 1994, what have Democrats done to advance their agenda?

What can progressives point to as "progress"?

It'll be like 1994

Im laughing to hard.....any way what can progressives point to as "progress"?

You'll probably need to ask one.
