McCain did not make this mistake only once. He also said exactly the same thing a day or two earlier on the Hugh Dimwitt radio show.

And why was Mac so jetlagged when Lieberman was not? Is your candidate showing his age? You know, he's trying to get a job that requires a lot of travel. Maybe he should step aside in favor of  someone young enough to handle it.

But thank you for the acknowlegment that the Republicans smeared John Kerry when they had nothing on him. Since the GOP will lie no matter what, does it really matter whether Obama has issues? How would being clean protect him from smears by your lying party?

I knew you supported a party of liars; I just didn't realize that you knew it too.

He was jet lagged all of those times.  It's so obvious.

I wouldn't expect a response to this though.  When Ken gets solidly proven wrong, he exits...  stage right even.

That was an actual mistake, you know, like one of those "off the cuff" ones that you mentioned.  John McCain made his "mistake" over and over again.  Did Obama keep quoting the wrong death toll?

But, let me tell you, that was some damning evidence.  I'm voting for McCain now.

"Sometimes politicians make mistakes during off the cuff remarks."

And sometimes they lie, then claim an innocent mistake when they get caught.

Odd, how Republicans keep repeating the same error - bogus connections between al Queda and the target of the moment.  Isn't attention to detail of any importance to you people?

But you've admitted the right-wing lied when they repeatedly smeared Kerry. With that character defect in mind, McCain's thrice repeated lie about the bogus connection seems likely to be - another GOP lie.

Mistake?  He did it over and over again (and we've told you that over and over again).  Did he immediately correct it every time?

And sure the GOP is effective... at politics, and not governing.  They've got the smear thing down.  Now if they can just figure out this democracy deal they'll be golden.  Hmm...

You should have taken my advice and exited (stage extreme right even) because you are clearly out of legs to stand on.

"The insignificant McCain verbal mistake .  .  ."

You meant mistakes, didn't you?  He repeated the same lie on 4 (count 'em, 4) separate occasions.

You may be right that it won't matter. More than any other party in our history, the GOP depends upon people not paying attention.

But I'm surprised that it doesn't matter to you, Ken. Whether McCain is lying or repeatedly screwing up, an intelligent person has to question whether he really understands the complexities of the Middle East. McCain says he does; so does Bush. But is there any real evidence to support that belief?
