The Pubs don't run on issues, they run on swift boating and pastor scandals and whatever other slime they can generate.  If they let people focus on issues the people would realize where their best interests lie, and the Pubs would never win anything.  Fortunately for the Pubs the people are basically herd beasts and are easily distracted by smut.

But if the fight between Hillary and Obama goes until June-July, the issues campaign will not have anytime to build, and it will only be a swiftboat/smut campaign...

Republicans usually win those... something about values  - yeah, whatever...


I think if Obama will be in serious trouble if this just turns out to be a name calling general election... he needs it to be on issues, his strong point...
