I meant even the people I interact with in town in South Bend. The random Indianan townies who likely have never been outside the county. Most of them don't even care, really. My overwhelming impression is that there really aren't a whole lot of crazy conservatives left. You've got plenty of Ron Paul "conservatives," maybe -- people who overall just distrust government and want to be left alone -- but this spittle-drenched crap these people write seems to be coming from an entirely different animal.
