Edwards has decided to let the political process work itself out between Obama and Clinton and I respect him for that. He got out of the race early when he could have pushed it to the Convention and had a WEDGE of maybe 10-20% of the Delegates and played the Power Broker, possibly getting him the Veep slot in exchange for his endorsement. He has no office now, nothing to fall back on. Obama and Hillary lose, they are still senators and both ready for 2012. Edwards is FINISHED unless he can get a position in the next administration.
I was an Edwards guy, too. I kind of WANTED him to do what I just said. But Edwards chose to do the RIGHT thing, in the end.
June. After the primaries are over. After all the votes are cast. THEN Edwards should endorse Obama, so the Convention isn't a BLOODBATH.
I'm just afraid of this PERFECT STORM of BS. If Obama has the pledged delegate lead, but Hillary has the LATE MOMENTUM, maybe takes over the Popular Vote. Or she leads Obama substantially among Democrats in the Polls. And BOTH are losing to McCain in the polls.
THEN WHAT THE F*CK???
