1. If you really want to piss off the middle white vote, dont have any white representation on your ticket... Obama's "half' doesnt count. Remember, we still represent at least 75% of the electorate in this country - and no, most people arent "past" the racial divides in this country... so stop whining China Guy...( a little pre- emptive strike, I couldn't help it).

The Progressives will forever be known as the anti -Whitey party - Thats not a label y'all want - EVER

2. Richardson might shore up Latino support sure, but it certainly will backlash with the anti Immigration crowd (such as myself) - They will never ever vote for "progressives" again, even if you guys promise them EVERYTHING... He might get Obama wins in NV and CO, but they'll lose PA, OH and possibly MI.

3. Richardson is a Buffoon...Shave that damn silly beard you putz!!!

4. Do you remember Spanky from the Little Rascals? - if he were Latino, he would be Bill Richardson in Adulthood..

5. The "Messiah" cannot pick "Judas" to be his right hand man... Oh, wait a minute, let me check my Biblical History... oh, nevermind... I think we remembered how that one turned out!!!

I can give more, if you would like, but I will spare the fellow Obamabots reading the agony of the TRUTH!!!

When Obama gets the nod, he will either pick someone like Edwards or a "Blue Dog Moderate" or maybe even a White Woman like Selibus or Napolitano... that wont piss off the Middle or the Leebrals too much... It might even pull in some women and centrist Repubs who hold disdain for McCain's support of the War...

Alpha, as you could probably tell, I am not an Obama or Richardson fan... But I absolutly detest and stand 100% against John McCain - He is Evil Incarnate...

I dont say these things to inspire racial hatred or bigotry... I bring these things up because despite what our Leeeebral friends have told us ad nauseum on the blogs, Whitey is still generally scared of people that dont look like them...

I am conceding the fact the Obama will get the nod - thats a lot for many people to get over, but to add Richardson to the mix would alienate more people than most Liberals knew existed in the first place...

This is our chance for change - really - I hope Obama doesnt fuck it over by making the majority of the population in this country question their own morals and beliefs when pulling the voting levers... If he wants to win, he wont pick Bill Richardson for VP - he just cant...

You're really knocking me back off the line of scrimmage. I thought the "Brown Guy Ticket" was a great idea, but you just sunk my battleship.

I still think that Obama-Richardson is electable in 2008, but I forgot to factor the long term damage to Democrats. When stuff goes wrong during 2009-2012, as it always does, the potential for viscious recrimination could drive the Democrat Party into extinction.

As much as the Democrats want this election, frankly I think it is a hot potatoe and whoever ends up catching it is going to get burned.  I'm seriously thinking of voting for McCain even though I like Obama a lot because I think there's a high probability things could get even worse over the course of the year.  Whoever wins is going to be expected to pull our country out of a recession, solve a credit and housing crisis, deal with Iraq, and do something about $4 gas prices. 

I think people underestimate the degree to which GW has fucked this country up and it is going to take time and patience that I'm not sure the American people have.  I'm thinking along the lines of Jimmy Carter.  No mater how good a job you do with a shitty situation, its still a shitty situation and you're going to get the boot if you don't fix it.  Whoever the other side puts up in 2012 will then have an oportunity to swoop in and ride on to victory (think Regan).

The GOP won 7 out of the last 10 presidential elections. It's impossible to win every time, so why not sit back and lose this one?
