Here is what I am hearing.

We all agree Hillary and McCain will definitely not bring about the change we all seem to want (trolls excluded).

Many of us are skeptical that Obama will.

So lets say it this way.  McCain and Hillary- chance of doing what we want-0%  Obama 1%

And from that argument you conclude we must not vote for Obama?

I don't play the lottery because I think the odds make it foolish but if someone offered me a free lottery ticket or a shit sandwich, I'd go ahead and take the lottery ticket and risk the disappointment.

I dont care who you vote for - you have this mistaken belief that I care about what you or anyone else does vote wise - believe me, I dont...

What I am saying is that even at your 1%, Obama is not the Messiah we need to bring about the change you guys are screaming for... Will he take us closer, maybe, but I personally have my doubts because where you guys blindly follow anyone who is not Bush, I see Obama just as another version of Democratic politics that talks big but only talks - he will have little chance to enforce real change I think - but then again, this is only my opinion...

I find it facinating that many of you still have some faith in the system/media and believe that it can do good - Have you learned nothing from your lifelong observations? I guess its because I teach history and see it time and time again... It is a never ending cycle that has not and cannot cease...

Thanks for your thoughts...

Here's the deal. Aside from the time you admitted to being a conservative, you have always presented yourself as a Democrat (albeit one who seems to hate the Democratic Party).  I realize that.

But you are gonna have to realize I am not an Obamabot.  I support him because he won the nomination and he is about 1000000% better than Grampa Death.  I was gonna support the Dem nominee no matter who it was because I support the policy proposals moreso than I support the other choices presented to me.

I like Obama fine.  I like Hillary.  I like Biden.  I like Edwards a lot.  But I don't think Obama is a messiah and don't claim he is or will be a transformative figure, much less a messiah.

Honestly, I am having a hard time thinking of anyone who posts regularly here who talks about Obama as anything more than the Democrat nominee for president that they prefer over Hillary.

Hillary supporters like to claim that anyone who doesn't support her is a member of some insane cult and worships Barak Obama.  Show me where I, or any of the other frequent fliers here have done this?  At least since my return in late March.

Do we defend him when people say stupid shit about him? Yeah.  But I would do the same for Hillary but no one has any reason to say stupid shit about her.  She's lost.

Get over yourself.  People have a right to their opinion.  If they think Obama is the best chance to end the war, avoid the next war and curb the depression they can think that.  Cut the silly Hilliblican (Republinton?) talking points and "clever" phrases out and start trying to put together a cogent argument.
