I wanted Obama to point out that the only reason Bush has this commander who gets to decide our foriegn policy is because he fired/forced into retirement about a dozen other commanders who didn't tell him what he wanted to hear.

I wanted Obama to say something like, "While the President is the commander of the military and must take responsibility for the ultimate decision I would have taken seriously the council of my commanders.  Like Generals Zini, Garner, Batiste, Sanchez, Abizaid, Admiral Fallon, etc."

From what I understand Bush's position is I just do what my generals tell me to do unless they don't tell me what I want to hear.  Then I fire them and go find one that will.

I definitely agree about the missed opportunity to highlight the promotion of yes-men and the firing of competent advisors.

That would have been a great point.  Email that one to his campaign.

Anyone know the best way to do that? I live kind of outside any sort of political infrastructure.

Link to the contact page is here.

It gave me a chance to visit his site and sign up.  I'm going to be donating to him, but I'm waiting till after the primaries for the big push.

How can they let rebuttals like this slip through the cracks????  Surely this is something the average American could relate to!  I hope this comes through in the election.
