Beat a dead horse? The mind of a dogmatic Republican is like some totalitarian regime, a la Juche North Korea styles. KenTX, and his ilk could tell reality from a hole in the wall, or Alice in Wonderland.

Rednecks love them some Jews.

See

Those are the same rednecks that will kick you canook (sp) ass.

Anyway, there are social/ethnic groups that are waaay scarier  in the US than rednecks. Unless you are on a rafting/hunting trip in the middle of nowhere (sorry Rich).

We could take Rich on a canoe trip down the Nanthahala River. That's where they filmed Deliverence and held the 1996 Olympic kayaking events. He could slap some rednecks.

I remember correctly, Nick the canook (sp) was the one who wanted to do the slapping. However, he would probably blend right in with his mullet (sorry Rich and Nick).

I get Rich and Nick confused. That's not a compliment for either guy.

The folks in Deliverance weren't rednecks.

They were coonasses.  Totally different.  Related to Canadians actually.  Ken is from Houston and should know better.  Coonasses are way more backwards and scary than rednecks.  Rednecks have joined the real world, sorta, by way of dominating the oil and cattle industries.  Coonasses are still essentially aboriginal.  You may have meant Nick but no Coonass canoe trips for me either.  Although I could wear some LSU gear or a Favre jersey and keep em at bay.

because it drives him nuts.

Deliverance was filmed on the Nantahala River, and the movie was about North Georgia hillbillies, not Louisiana coonasses.

Since I've lived in the North Georgia mountains and the bayous of Louisiana, I certainly know the difference between the two people.

Now whether the book on which the film was based had something to do with coonasses, I don't know. Everyone knows I don't read.

I have not gone to the newly electrified parts of the US for a reason, why waste my money when those people want to leave but can't. I've been to the US and I'd really rather NOT.
