I used to get most of the AAR podcasts and they were all better.
So is Stephanie Miller. Imagine if TYT sounded like SM but wasn't stupid and trying too hard like SM does. As much as I loathe that show they have great production values.
I don't mean the goofy sound effects or the Mickey Mouse pacing of Stephanie Miller just to clarify :) Just the general lack of thing being wrong.
Some people don't notice these things in the same way that some people can be perfectly happy with cheap earbuds and 128 bit music while others (me included) think it sounds like crap. But I am not a snob either. Especially when it comes to spoken word all I want is proper sound levels and no distortion.
I don't ever think about the sound quality of most shows but TYT always zings my ears with the too hot garbled audio.
Not priority number one but maybe it should the 1st pan to get looked at on the back burner of the stove. It's needed to shake off that last bit of "Cable Access" still clinging to the show.
But if I am in the very small minority who notices so be it. I will happily wince along if everyone else thinks its fine. The content is still there even with the wonky audio
How about Rachel Madow. The sound is Perfect!
I'm not being a dick. I love tyt. I've paid for 2 memberships!
I understand that you can record and stream better qaulity than you can stream live. Why do they have to stream live? They don't take calls, read traffic or anything like that. Record the show and then post it as a videocast, stream it 24hrs, whatever you want and it will look like the MEET THE PRESS video cast. Go to iTunes and play some video casts, they look like TV. I don't understand why TYT is still such low quality. It doesn't have to be. I've turned friends on to TYT who say they can't get beyond the poor audio. When Cenk gets exited all you hear is distortion. I think it's their software. Not the hardware. I can put together a higher quality vidoecast in my basement with less than a $1000.00 worth of equipment
