Surprise! Drudge has stories/polls that support right wing radio talking points. This is a fake ass issue that once again shows us all where you really get your news.
People think that radio and TV should be fair when it's phrased like that (obviously), but nobody in an official position has tried to bring it back in any way. But just keep talking about that phantom "somebody". It sounds so spooky.
And I thought you didn't believe in polls BTW.
or start a new thread. I don't want to derail this one any further.
Sorry holy noize.
The funny thing is if you google fairness doctrine and democrats you get a bunch of articles of conservatives whining about it, one article about Obama being explicitly and strongly against it and no articles about democrats supporting it.
In my three minutes of research I have so far concluded this is a complete straw man. Something they have just decided every single person who doesn't love George Bush and Fox News believes passionately in but in reality pretty much no one is calling for.
You'll notice the Kool-Aid junkies (Ken, Bobo) talk about this as if it comes up every two minutes on the Turks, Olberman and DailyKos. It would be like if we just started pretending the conservative movement had embraced NAMBLA and laughing every time they said we were making it up.
holy noize is referring to Net Neutrality.
Something completely different from the Fairness Doctrine.
I don't usually link to Wikipedia, but these are such fundamentally different concepts I figures 'baby steps' was the right approach. You still refuse to accept the fallacies in your Fairness stance, so I won't bother with NN at all. I'm pretty sure your mind is already made up...
