...I need to work on not being so blunt at time. I just can't stand this extremist Sarah Palin chick, and it scares the hell out of me that McCain is leading in the polls.

Palin scares the shit out of me, as I've written before. The funny thing is (well, scary and sad thing actually) I know plenty of Republicans who do NOT like the religious right.

Some of them are atheists/agnostics while others are average (read: half-assed) Christians who maybe go to church a few times a year and rarely pray or read the Bible, etc.

At any rate, most of them don't take Palin seriously. Meaning they don't think Palin as VP (or even as president) will make a difference on issues like abortion. They say "no way Roe V Wade will be overturned".  These are pro-choice types who think they're being fiscally smart by supporting McCain.

They're wrong of course, but I'm amazed by the fact that they think Palin is harmless (and hot). And for the record yes, she's an attractive older politician...honestly, she wouldn't be generating half as much positive press and interest if she wasn't.

I assumed he was calling her a pig and was ok with it. Polls are fun  to tweak people with, but meaningless in the long run, they are 1000 people that happened to answer the phone. If polls where so accurate they wouldnt all be different. Dont forget how wrong the polls where during the primary.ABC, CNN, CSPAN, Gallup, Reuters, USA Today, Washington Post, and Zogby polls all had Democratic candidate Barack Obama winning the New Hampshire Primary. They all had Hillary winning the nomination.
