From a political perspective I mean, should Obama have thrown some jabs? He gave his speech 2 hours after McCain.

A little while ago he *did* mock McCain's claim that Obama was somehow responsible. Basically, he said something like (paraphrase) 'it's funny that McCain says I have no experience, yet apparently I've been in Washington long enough to be responsible for this financial crisis. He's been in Washington 26 years..."

Etc.

and Palin just said (another paraphrase) "he points the finger to cast blame but has he ever lifted a finger to stop it?!"

Man, the Republicans ARE brazen. I guess they bank on the fact the majority of the country is comprised of low-info voters.

He never lifted a finger to stop it? Regulation is the CORNERSTONE of the Democratic Party.

Basically, what she is saying is, "It's his fault that he didn't stop us (the GOP)."

This is beyond belief. So desperate. SO dishonest.  Reall y really bad people.

They can't possibly win.

"They can't possibly win." -  perdido619

Oh yes, they can - dont ever tell yourself otherwise...

It is this attitude that allows Republicans to win. Even in these times...

But hopefully enough people see through it.

Oh puhlease!  grandpappy Mc$ame is a walking funeral. He lost the race the second the election went back to the issues.

Maybe if you actually lived in the real world and not in the comedian rush limbaughs fantasy web of lies  you would realize that.

If I say about the financial crisis, "He points the finger to lay blame but he never lifted a finger to stop it."

Who, in this election, does that most apply to?

Which branch of the Government makes laws that regulate industry?

Where is that finger pointing, Rich?

Right at the Democrats since 2006...

This is what voting "Present" does when you serve on committees...

Although I understand what you are saying, she does have a small point...

Bobo thinks the subprime mortgage crisis, which had begun by the end of 2006, was caused by a group of people who were sworn in in January of 2007 and passed no legislation that could take effect until many months later.

The fact that bobo thinks the cause-effect relationship of all this is something under a maximum of 20 months or so is stupid enough, but come on!

Dems have controlled the House of Representitves since 2006, not the Senate. And even those issues which Lieberman votes with the Dems, the GOP has been 100% obstructionist, breaking the record for most filibusters in any 2 years - in just 1 year. And all this after trying to propose "the nuclear option". Sons of Bitches.

Please do not try to make some kind of case that any of this is the responsibility of the Dems.
