It was inspiring, and I recommend it. I saw Moore speak when he swung through Portland on his book tour that year. He filled the stadium. I remember being struck by how happy I was to hear voices like his and Al Franken's after what seemed like years of hateful rightwingers like Hannity and Coulter being passed off as legitimate news analysts. Sure, Franken and Moore were partisans, but despite the lies of Fox News and other MSM outlets, our bulldogs had a positive message, and they were never hateful, nor did they attempt to silence their critics in anyway. These are the real patriots of our time, who stuck up for the regular guy while Bush and company were sipping champagne with caviar. When we look back at this age of corruption and national dysfunction, those of us who recognized it from the beginning will be eternally grateful to Michael Moore for having the cajones and the love of country to stand up and say it publicly.
