True, I also would like to think so. But its easier said than done.
Killing is always bad, unintentionally or not. It almost always leads to more killing. Both sides have to stop, preferably Israel first because they are the bigger and wealthier one (and also the source of the whole conflict).

that Hamas is going to stop if Israel does so? Israel has to stop either way, but that does not mean that Hamas will stop their eternal war on Israel over holy land and all that retaliation they feel they feel entitled to send back into Israel..

In my opinion having a policy that states that it's the right way to kill off an opponent's civilian population is just the worst position one can possibly have!
