I was just saying to my wife last night that I would put solid money down on Huckabee winning the next GOP primary run for the White House...I would bet, if money wasn't so tight these days. Huckabee is pretty much the only viable candidate that the Values Voters can really get behind, Romney is too stiff and a Mormon to boot, Palin has star power, but a FEMALE President??? I admit I don't watch Mike Huckabee's television program (is that still on?), but Huck is a smart guy, and he's watching this battle between moderates and extremist Theocrats (c'mon, that IS what they really are). If he can convince both sides of the Conservative spectrum that they MUST come to a consensus or lose power completely, well Huck might just make it. Hell, if he can gain the support of the independents and doesn't come up against any charismatic contenders from the Independent Right, he might even have a real chance of winning the whole thing.

Huck has been endorsed loosely by James Dobson and Pat Robertson; not so much with the Dick Armey crowd who claim Huck is is full of "counterproductive sweet talk." However, if Huck can get full support from the Evangelicals and convince the frustrated tea-party Independents that he's on their side, he really could win the Presidency, especially if Obama doesn't pull a 'Loaves and Fishes' type miracle soon. Problem with that is both of those groups are taken to political tangents and are easily swayed by rhetoric.

 So as for my bet, I'm waiting till the 2010 elections to put hard cash on the table. It will be much clearer once we see how much the Hill changes next year.

that it is predicated on the false notion that there are enough tea baggers to make a difference

A conservative believes nothing should be done for the first time

don't like Huckabee. Many of their ranks think Huck is too moderate, and although Huckabee is working on the Evangelicals and the Populist-ragers, my prediction all depends on if the GOP can even stay together. Remember, I said IF Huck can turn them around to him. The reality is that this Conservative Civil war going on might just rip their power base apart.

 Actually, it also depends on if Obama's supporters can keep it together. There are so many factors going on in this country, it is almost impossible to calculate our National temperament.& nbsp;

 Hence, like I said, I'm not betting real money till the 2010 election results come in. I know Teabaggers THINK that they are the Majority, but that's just their misunderstanding about what a minority is...those folks are all white, therefore, they're not minorities...

 Hence--in Tea-bagger logic--they have the vote!
