This season was just proof you can still buy a world championship. If the league had a salary cap, the yankees would be dead last every season.  Their leadership sucks, their coaches suck, their farm system is non-existent.  The only reason they win is because they purchase the best players from other teams.  Baseball should be home grown, not exotic imports from other teams.

 

If you want a REAL team, look at a team like the Twins.  They have made it to the post season 5 out of the past 8 years.  Did they make it to the world series?  No, but it shows that their farm system is one of the best out there, and they have little to nothing in terms of salary.

Fact: This team would STILL be one of the best in the league because when it comes right down to it, the legends of baseball have always played in pinstripes.  The team has a legacy that has carried down through decades.  Your butthurt is delicious.

Hilarious!  Joe Girardi defied common wisdom and won a World Series two years after getting hired.  Lay off the weed, man.

The first thing you've said right in this whole post!  Sure, we've got the Single-A Staten Island Yankees, but they're not much to look at.  Whatever.  If you really believe we couldn't set up a first-rate farm system if we had to in the blink of an eye, you're hopeless.
