But keep in mind that still means at least one* of those 6 people has to take the time to filter through all of those major city submissions. Maybe it depends on how many cities you have in mind.

Top 10? Top 20? More?

maybe LA, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Boston, Oakland, DC, and Miami.  That would seem to about cover it.

You guys are aware that cities also exist outside of God's own Country?

And that a third of the TYT audience is not America?

It would be nice, if you guys would try to keep those stupid foreigners in mind sometimes. One great thing about the internet is that it is international.

You could probably get much more viewers and members if you would more regularly report about things outside of America.

It might be even a nice service to the American viewers to inform them about the rest of the world. You don't want to encourage the preconception of the ignorant American, do you?

Are you serious?! People exist outside the US?? Cenk HAS to open the show Monday with this news!

Maybe two thirds of the audience wouldn't believe Cenk when he told them about it.

He should better not risk his credibility on something like that. At least he should ease them into it.

Seriously:
You have many foreign fans and it would be nice to acknowledge that and report a little more about what's going on in the rest of the world. It is relevant to the US and could be educational.

1. I've actually told Cenk that I would love for him to invite guests on to discuss how their (for example) healthcare and tax policies differ from the US and the pros and cons they see, etc. I'd also be interested to hear more foreign perspective on social issues. I know there was briefly a foreign correspondent but if I recall he spent more time in the developing world.

2. Cenk used to spend a lot more time on the show discussing US foreign policy. Personally I much prefer domestic policy and issues related to the economy, jobs and so on. But yes, I realize Iraq and Afghanistan are important...guess I'm just a little burned out and don't find them as interesting.

I think you can't seriously talk about American economy without taking the EU or China into consideration. When you are not aware of the developments in these countries you can't even start to have an opinion on what America should do to create jobs.

I just thought about the ideal guest(host) for a couple of times. He is entertaining and informative.
Henry Rollins is even funny when he talks about Iran.

Really Henry Rollins would be the ideal guest (host). Think about it.

Henry Rollins' holiday in Pakistan was a barrel of laughs, too.

Listen and be surprised.

He mainly did spoken word performances during recent years. Strangely I nearly always have to agree with him about political issues. The least that you can say is that he has put a lot of thought into his opinions and he has a way to express them in a really funny way.

I can just recommend it to everybody on this forum to go to YouTube and listen to some of these performances.
Lots of political issues. (South-Afrika, racism, homophobia, Bush-bashing...)

Do you agree that he would be the perfect guest(-host)?

Especially discussions with Ana could be funny, because his opinions on celebrity-culture differ very much from her's.

As much as I would not like to see Ana cry on air because of Rollins' mean attitude, I would love to see Ana cry (or lose it) on air because of Rollins' mean attitude. I watched the video on the Kill Bill premiere he attended, where he freaked out the other attendees by making sexually suggestive grimaces and asking the waiter to hand-feed him sushi. That would make him an ideal expert on the issue of celebrity culture. Or he could talk about his experiences in foreign countries.

Now, that I think of it. Rollins reminds me of Wes Clark (or rather the other way around). Cynical, no-bullshit straight talk, I like that very much.

Henry once filled in for Cenk on "Meet the Bloggers". (I wonder what happened to that show. I was not watching it while it ran.) So, they even probably know each other.

I think he wouldn't make Ana cry. Usually he tries to be polite.

Isn't it great how intelligent Rollins can articulate his left-wing positions without anybody crying sell-out.

It would be great in a show.
First two hours he would show Cenk what real left-wingers think and in the third hour he would rant about celebrity culture until Ana leaves the studio.

That would be the best show ever!!!
