Check out the comment section of the last TYT clip of Beck where he compared Obama to Jesus.

The standard defense when a right winger is insane is that he was "just joking". Now, I'm not immune to comedy and I think the Daily Show is great. I'm also aware of the fact that some people can take things too seriously.

With that said, while Beck's segment was clearly comical, I think it's a huge cop-out to suggest it was all a joke. People use this tactic all the time in real life interactions. Someone is a bitch or an asshole, and when they're called out on it the busted person claims they were "just joking".
