First, I don't think the TYT army should send in negative comments about Ed Schultz.  It is poor form, unless independently of Cenk's chances at the spot you happen to honestly think Schultz deserves those comments.

Second, I don't think MSNBC is interested in the lack-of-diversity concern.  Other than Rachel, they haven't had (to my recollection) a minority prime-time host in years (since Rita Cosby, probably).  Nachman, Donahue, Matthews, Abrams, Olbermann, Schuster, Gregory...all white, all various degrees of Left.  If MSNBC is thoroughly unmoved by the fact that moderate-to-Left opinion controls their network for 10 straight hours, why would they made a decision for a new host specifically based on diversity of skin color?  If Cenk has a shot at the job, it is because a) he has a large internet following and MSNBC wants to tap into Internet hipness rather than Air America standbys, or b) because his style is markedly different from (and more insightful and authentic than) the status quo of the mainstream.
