Who can blame him for undergoing a kinder, gentler version of the real thing? The real thing is a lot worse, right? He underwent a milder version and HE STILL CALLED IT TORTURE. Whether or not his goal was mere ratings is quite unimportant. Tell you what: You stand by what you said, and I'll stand by what I said, and we'll have lots of fun standing in our respective locations.

I don't see any journalist volunteering to have his fingernails torn out. I certainly have not been made aware of any journalist volunteering to have alligator clips attached to his scrotum so Darth Cheney can place a long distance call to his testicles. But many have been willing to be waterboarded.

You haven't come out and said that waterboarding is or is not torture yet.  What is your stance on waterboarding?  is it torture?  I'd like to assess your sanity so that I know whether or not to argue with you.
