To be honest, its stuff like this that really drives me away from the Republican party on most policy issues. I just can't take this group of people serious. Reality does not matter to them.

You mean that they smear, distort and outright lie on a regular basis? It makes you wonder how many people would support any of their ideas if they told the truth.

Maybe 1-10%, the rich, selfish and or crazy?

If they dropped their obsession with some of the dumber social issues, stopped trying to be the theocratic party, recognized the need for flexibility in their politics, and focused on fiscal policy they might actually get somewhere.
