I hope so, but what will teh conspiracy nuts say? If we were planning to catch him anyway why take so long? And will catching him cause a wave of terror?

I think capture is a very bad idea, execution would unite an otherwise weakend force, and long term incaseration is not much better.

If he is killed it doesn't matter by who, they will use it as a rally cry and blame the US regardless.

Its a delicate situation bought about by the threat of terrorists. Its that intimidation that has worked for them.

Lets hope he just fades away and gets 'lost' or goes missing somehow. (Accidents happen)

Is that your idea of justice?  Figure out whether or not it makes terrorist groups more likely to do what they already do anyway?

Why not focus on what makes ordinary non-terrorists consider joining terrorist groups?  Namely, injustice and tyranny.

There is no better advice than "Do the right thing."
