Pawlenty ... Huckabee .. and Romney ... must have all done a little dance of glee when hearing of her resignation .. and their political consultants must be laughing at all the "Cut and Run" ads they can run against Palin if she does run .. Pawlenty is not running for a 3rd term in Minn. .. but he isn't cutting and running .. Mittens didn't run for a 2nd term in Mass. .. but he didn't bolt mid-way through his only term .. especially in two of the more liberal states

I would think they formed a chorus line and kick up a storm!

But I'm not so sure how much they really have to dance about.  Palin's followers are the real loons of the party, the ones who are taking it over.  She might get strong enough support to carry her past New Hampshire.  I mean, it's not like her supporters are connected to reality in any way.

I think that her candidacy could be what pushes the Republican Party over the edge into a final split.  All that remains to be seen is whether it becomes the party of loons (libertarians and fundamentalists) or the party of thieves (corporatists and traditional conservative Republicans) and which group has to pick a new name.

By the way, welcome to TYT!
