I have posted before of a young friend of mine that can't work because they would lose the insurance they have that covers the 2500+ a month drugs they have to have to live. Without those drugs 100% chance of death, so he sits around all day because that is all he can do.

Then there is the older women who needs an emergency surgery days before her husband dies of cancer and gets slapped with a 30k bill because she doesn't get the "good" insurance yet.....

I fear we will not be far off from a third world country if something doesn't  change soon. Our education is way behind where it should be. Our life expectancy is way behind where it should be. Our companies poison us daily and our government fights for them to be able to keep doing it. It is sad.

I am among the long term unemployed, 2.5 years now. I worked from the time I was 13 until I became unemployed. When I was young I often had several jobs to cover when I didn't get enough hours at one. From 13 on I paid for everything but food and my bed.

I started to believe that this really was a place where hard work, ethics and intelligence was rewarded.Didn't take long for me to figure out that those traits are not rewarded, if anything punished.

Hopefully someday soon the Democrats will stand up to the people that make up the 20% dumbshit population we have that never votes for them anyways and get something done. Chances are this wont happen until we vote everyone of them out of office and replace them with someone corporations havn't bought.

I just try to keep on smiling :)
