I guess you have to draw the distinction between Republicans in Congress Vs. average Joe Reupublican.

Your post applies to the former, but the latter will (I assume) continue to scream about socialism, marxism, communist, fascism, Hitler and Nazis (etc.) regardless of what 'reform' is passed. They've been trained to react that way by right wing zealots.
