The problem is, even with current large Dem. majorities in Congress, I'd argue the majority of politicians isn't really interested in a public health care model, or just doesn't care enough. The only way to make them interested in it is for voters to show up on the streets en masse, and make it clear to them that THEY are VERY interested in such a system. People need to show how serious they are about this. Unfortunately, so far only the tea party movement has made their point forcefully, uncountered by liberals other than occasionally someone standing among them with a funny sign.
