People will settle for whatever they think they can get in order to stay alive.  It's people's misperceptions about themselves and their place in the world -- misperceptions that are promoted by the mainstream media for commercial purposes -- that have led to the invention of sex dolls.  If homely Henry and Henrietta and gorgeous George and Georgette fully understood that real beauty has little to do with appearance, we wouldn't have these problems.

Also, it would be nice if it rained more out here in the desert.
