If you think a couple of words written on her hand is what is wrong with her, you probably have the same level of intelligence as her. This is the same shit that right wingers do that pisses all of you off. Issues not rhetoric. PLEASE!

On issues, so they resort to name calling and nitpicking people who aren't as outwardly intelligent as they think they are...

Palin might be a dummy, yes, but she represents the growing resentment of eggheads and slick Willie types who have co-opted our politics for far too long...

I won't vote for her, personally, but she and her down home charm will bring about someone who I could consider voting for...

Let the liberals make fun of her. Let them show the world how snide and petty they really are. Nobody likes a know it all who can't produce results (like our current president)...

the thing about todays conservatism is that you have the tendency of doing, what is called in psychology, projection. in other words, subconsciously& nbsp;you realize what people like yourself are and do, but you use it as an insult against those you disagree with. this is one of the many case's in point. your party had more than a decade of power in each branch of the government after the opposing party handed over a completely turned around country with a lack of problems, minus the boss man getting a blow job, after that party was handed a poorly operated company by, once again, your party. the thing is that, when it comes to policy, we have more to stand on STATISTICALLY than your party does. tax cuts are proven to explode the deficit in the same way that spending how you currently do and accepting a lower paying job will increase your debt. thats very simple and very clear. obama won on policy, but hasn't inn-acted  the policies because he's deluded in thinking your party has any sort of decency or humility from what happened over the past decade. stop projecting and come up with real facts. palin writing on her hand isn't very substantial, but she hasn't given us policies to discuss and if she has to write stuff on her hand to remember the same things she's been saying for over a year, it makes us feel less confident that she can create policy.

" And while I'm not much of a writer, and I'm certainly not very smart, for some reason people like to read what I write."- Hugh Everett

We were done nit-picking her shortly after she was first announced as the Republican running mate.

Now, we're just having fun.

But seriously, the fact  that you concede that "Palin might be a dummy" is a big step forward for you... that's awesome...

"Palin might be a dummy, yes, but she represents the growing resentment of eggheads and slick Willie types who have co-opted our politics for far too long"

Having the best and the brightest in charge is not something with which you feel particularly concerned.  Feeling threatened by people who are smarter than you are, you, yourself, resent them, and you criticize them for being smarter than you are.

You want people who are less intellectually capable to be in charge.  That way, you won't feel so threatened by them, and you can feel superior to them and still continue to criticize them without having to actually do anything yourself to make things better.

As Obama has illustrated in the first year of his failing presidency, its not always the best and brightest who knows how to get things done.

Someone (like Obama) can be super smart and intellectually driven and be a piss poor people person who can't understand why things don't go the way he thinks they should.

Bush and Palin are dummies in the intelectual department, yes, but they are the kind of people who can rally the masses and take action as opposed to just using mere words. Hell, Bush got us totally involved in two wars and for a time convinced the majority of the country that it was the right thing to do! Obama couldn't do that if he had God given directions and free money to give out to supporters...

I'm not saying Bush/Palin are right, I'm saying they know how to sway people better than Mr. Professor Obama...

Yeah, that sounds like a great plan: Let's keep electing dummies.

Its not about electing dummies. Its about electing people who can get the job done.

Obama is not getting the job done. He's not getting what he wants done.

Republicans get the job done, as evidenced by who gets what they want when they want it.

Do you understand now? Or do I need to spell it out in even simpler terms...

Let's keep electing dummies!  They'll certainly get something done, even if it drives our economy into the ground!

Bob, at some point, you're going to have to start thinking about things.  You apparently have no idea about why Obama hasn't been able to accomplish even the things that he has tried to accomplish.  And I'm not defending him.  I'm simply trying to get you to think about things rather than continue to skim along the surface, where your ridiculous criticisms and ideas might seem to make sense, even though any meager analysis of them reveals them to be completely worthless.

If you want to solve problems, you're going to have to learn to understand the problems first.  Just because a dummy can be used by underlings who are smarter than he is to achieve a lot of their goals does not mean that it's a good thing to have dummies in charge.  You should always want the absolute smartest person to be in charge, as long as that person is qualified and has good motives, even if you disagree with some of his or her policies.  And if you disagree with a lot of those policies but the alternative is Palin or Bush or [name any popular Republican here], then you still must vote for the smarter person.

To do otherwise is simply irresponsible.  No matter what you want, the government -- and the world -- is more complicated than you think.  It takes a smart person to deal with it.  Electing anyone of Palin's or Bush's or McCain's or Boehner's or ... limited abilities is courting further disaster.

And no matter what you think, Obama has kept us out of the pit of doom in which Republicans want to bury us.

The recently released emails reveal a gold mine of things I could post about.
