The opinion expressed by that article is very wide-spread in the country: Obama is not being well-served because, for one reason or another, he is insulated from outside voices.  He acts like he's commanding a rowboat with a small crew rather than a ship, with the result that the ship is going adrift because his small crew thinks they don't need anyone else.  If he was running a campaign, that might actually be true.  But when you're running a country, you need as many allies -- and to listen to as many outside voices -- as you can get.

Hopefully, we might be seeing signs that Obama is starting to get frustrated with his lack of results and successes.  As his frustration mounts, he might be willing to consider that his narrow circle is not serving him well.  Also hopefully, he will come to that realization before it is too late to save either his presidency or, more importantly, the country.
