Bob is an interesting specimen.  He will often post articles like these, demonstrating no real point of view or judgement, and then ask for other people's thoughts as if he has none of his own.

That may actually be true, or he might be waiting to see which way the wind blows before he starts trying to spit in it, or he might have an idea of what most other people think, and he's setting them up to criticize them in some way.

However, despite the utterly non-committal nature of his article, he actually has the same purpose as he does with other articles in which he is quite committal.  In those articles, he always condemns some individual or group in the harshest, most vile way imaginable.  He is never complimentary, and his criticisms can never be considered to be constructive in any way because they are pure insults.

However, mo matter what his strategy may be, it's a sure bet that he's trying to find some way to feel superior to others.  It's a wonder, however, that he hasn't revisited this article since he posted it.

One of my kids was in the ER all night, you Star were just not the first person on my mind. I'm sorry if you have felt left out.

Murtha to me has always been an interesting character in the House. A Red Democrat from a 50/50 district devastated by economic hardship and union treachery, Murtha has shifted in the wind many times during his lengthy political career. He is the ultimate flip-flopper simply due to the conditions and make up of his district.

He found power and spending projects he couldn't resist and literally changed from a once proud soldier to a pork spending slob. He was for the war before he was against it, he was for welform reorm before he went against it etc.

If this Democrat die off continues, its gonna be a Hell of a lot easier to take back Congress than even Obama is making it.

My condolences to Murtha's family, and my congratulations to the Republican who will assume his seat in Congress...

...and I hope that he or she is recovering well.  I merely noted that it was unusual that you hadn't revisited your article since you posted it.  But I'm sure that you merely overlooked that fact.

It's also interesting that you view death as being helpful.

Sometimes I do, too.

As to your evaluation of Murtha, thanks for finally expressing your opinion.  But why didn't you say that when you opened this topic?  It is, after all, your article.
