There is a simple membership fee involved. The Join TYT page is fairly clear on the subject.
If you want a serious blogging experience, go elsewhere. The blog has a bit more diversity as of late, but the Internet equivalent of the "crazy man in the park" is still here from all accounts.

By serious blogging I mean serious discussion.
At TYT recipe for blogging usually means ; Take two or more bloggers oblivious the each others comments, add several duelling talking points, add a cursory "I win" , boil on high stir, add various insults. Repeat indefinitely
It is fortunate for humans we can survive while opposing the norm by living in a free society.
