... turn the channel. There was a lovely program on little furry creatures on Discovery and my blood pressure dropped as a result.
LO'D is definitely at a 10.8 and needs to be at a 2.

Ha!  I'm going to pull a "Cenk" on you and tell you an old school parable that is only tangentially related to the subject.

I was 18 in the early 80's when MTV was new and still showed music videos.  My friends and I would often stay up late into the night watching.  We swore to each other that we would NOT turn it off until they showed at least 1 decent video.  As often as not we would finally go to bed drunk and disapointed with the all the lyrics to "kiss on my list" forever etched into our brains.

I stayed tuned to LO last night because I have some small amount of respect for the man and could NOT believe that he would actually devote the whole show to sexual innuendo about a man that was trying to do the right thing politically but had a fetish for tickling.

It's the reason I am still a liberal after all these years and not a burned out cynic.  I still believe that someday MTV will play good music videos, the MSM will devote their time to an honest discussion of relevant issues, and progressive politicians will find solutions to our problems and implement them.

In a word, I am hopelessly stubborn.

...ever the optimist.

I do the like the comparison of the media finding their ass and doing their job to waiting for MTV to play good music. Perfect.
