Very pretty, and credit for the effort, but TYT needs a much bigger makeover that your 'redesign'. The site needs demolished and built from the bottom up, into a user friendly, sharp, presentable site, not the completely jumbled train wreck mess it is now.

I know what you mean, for my sketch purposes I was only trying to take it so far, but I agree there's a lot that could be done.
