As much of a world class nut job as Reverend Jeremiah Wright may be, he was Obama's pastor. Obama basically disowned him and now there seems to be parts of the Black Church that want revenge. Nevertheless, when you hear Sharpton or Jackson (doubt it..Chicago crew...won't do it) bad-mouthing the President, then it's over.

I'm an atheist, but I can see why the Catholic Church hates people who are loud and full of shit, including their version of the Pentecostals, the equally benighted charismatic movement.

You can't yank these people's tax exemption. Freedom of Religion is tied to Freedom of Speech. You could worship a 10-year-old booger, and as long as your church meets IRS guidelines, you have a religion going. Unfortunately, our continent has decided to fuck itself with a huge crucifix right up the ass. Religion, or something like it, strikes again.
