He was stupid and unlucky, but he did put his life on the line.  But a "hero"?  I have to agree with you.

America killed, at a minumum, two million people in order to assure that they would not have the right to vote as they had been guaranteed by a treaty that we violated.  I'm sorry for what we did to the draftees, but McCain was not a draftee.  He was a volunteer for an unjust war.  I'm sorry that he suffered so much pain at the hands of his enemy, but they were not my enemy, and he shouldn't have been shooting at them.
