The media should instead have used this opportunity to ask the question whether America's military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan is creating more terrorists. The media should have asked whether US military bases in virtually every Middle Eastern nation actually serve American national security interests. The media did none of these things, and it's a shame. It really is a shame.

Well, no, of course not. Because the media are owned by the same huge corporate conglomerates that are making huge profits off the war.
