This dude was my favorite Congressman.  Right after I told a couple of my guys about him, he said all that crap about Turkey (I guess it was their fault for getting in the way of Israeli gunfire)  and then went on to help run Helen Thomas out of DC.  He made me look like a fool.  My people were telling me, "Are you kidding?  This guy's a complete asshole."

Believe me, I loved this guy.  But a fighter on the Democratic side is no good to us if he supports genocidal behavior.

that his Israel bias twists him.

I see you I see you

but we live in the real world, where people have all sorts of beliefs.

What we should be able to do is to ally ourselves with people on a cause by cause basis...and not on an individual basis. What I mean by this is - if i want thing A(regulation, or whatever) and he also wants it we can work together to get it...we both win. But if you dont because on thing F you disagree, you both lose...

So althou he DID look like an idiot, fine - tell him, disgree, but on the things we agree on, he can sure as hell fight alongside me.

Unless the things we disagree about interfere with what we are trying to do. For instance, fox thinks Obama is bad, I think Obama is bad...I will not work WITH fox because the reasons why they believe Obama is bad is unacceptable to me...but if your smart enough to draw that distinction we should all be fine.

Restlys, they weren't suggesting taking him out and shooting him or figure a way to boot him out of his seat, they were expressing the same thing **I** felt - "Man, this guy is so right in so many ways, it's too damn bad he's blind in his 100% support for Israel."

The same can be said with pretty much all politicians. I like Jim Webb in most things, but his affirmative action disembowelment talk is just crazy and his war views leave a lot for me to desire. Alan Grayson does some incredibly brave things (politically) but there are one or two of his stances which are hard for people who support him otherwise to swallow.

Don't mistake kvetching for dismissal, is all I'm saying...

You are exactly right and right after Kucinich buckled and voted for the health care bill, chris hedges came out the next day saying that is exactly why he will never be a politician. Its a great read.

I will say this, and even I took Weiner to the woodshed over his Israel comments, but I'm almost positive that Weiner would have NOT supported an Israeli investigation and would have supported an indepedent investigation

and I do see your point.

I feel a little differently now after seeing the last few vids of Anthony's work on the first responders bill. And, this is not the first time he has done something like this. Anthony has come out a lot for our side. Furthermore, he does seem to be pretty genuine,as far as politicos go.

I would like to see an apology of some sort to Ms. Thomas. After seeing her dragged thru the mud, not only by him, but the entire mainstream press....one thing I cannot stand is baseless character assassination, and that is EXACTLY what had happened. So, I do feel that, at least an apology to her would, at the very least, be in order. She is owed that. After all, she is the standard for journalism, imo.

I am willing to give him my support once more, because for the most part he's earned it, he just needs to remember who his supporters support. And I don't think an apology is unreasonable.
