The Young Turks have had a great time doing live coverage of the Democratic and Republican Conventions. But now that our duty is done in Minnesota, it's time to do the show in-studio again. However, beginning Friday, there will be a few changes that you may want to be aware of.
Beginning Friday, September 5th, the two hour political show will air from 6-8pm ET om www.theyoungturks.com. The show will rebroadcast on XM Satellite Radio 167 the following morning, from 8-10am ET.
Cenk and Dave will be absent until Wednesday, but we will have great guest hosts to take Cenk's place. Here is the list of who you can expect to see:
Friday, September 5th: Ben Mankiewicz and Michael Shure.
Monday, September 8th: R.J Eskow and Michael Shure.
Tuesday, September 9th: R.J Eskow and Wess Clark Jr.
There will be no entertainment or postgame show on the three days mentioned above. However, beginning on Wednesay, there will an hour of entertainment and a postgame show to follow the two hour political show.

I had this overwhelming sense of optimism when I walked through the security gates at the Republican National Convention. Although I work for the notoriously progressive Young Turks Show, which basically bashes Republican ideologies and hypocrisies on a daily basis, I was confident that I could still rely on adults behaving rationally in a professional setting.
Walking through the halls, I noticed McCain supporters strewn throughout the crowd with cowboy hats on. Not my choice of accessory, but I digress. FOX News has made its mark at the convention, with several monitors featuring the news show literally scattered everywhere.

The Young Turks will be conducting special live coverage of the Republican National Convention beginning on Monday. TYT will be hitting up Minneapolis to provide you with the following:
A live show beginning at 4pm/6pm ET, which can be heard on our website.
Live interviews throughout at the day on www.theyoungturks.com.
Play-by-play analysis of all major speeches.
Remember to tune in beginning on Monday if you want a fun, animated, and edgy coverage of the convention. The show will be live from Minneapolis all week long.

Because of all your generous donations, The Young Turks will be able to attend the Democratic National Convention next week! We will have special live coverage from the convention, and here is the show 411 you're all dying to know:
*ON THE WEEK OF AUGUST 25TH, THE TWO HOUR POLITICAL SHOW WILL AIR LIVE FROM THE DNC, 6-8PM ET.
*WE WILL HAVE PLAY-BY-PLAY OF ALL MAJOR SPEECHES AT THE CONVENTION THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

Since the TYT production crew will be M.I.A on Friday:
Today TYT is doing a four hour political show. XM Satellite Radio will broadcast the first two hours of tonight's political show tomorrow morning. XM will also broadcast the second portion of today's show on Monday morning.
On theyoungturks.com, you will get the four hour political show streaming on a loop all weekend. Since we are taping two political shows today, there will be no entertainment news or postgame show until Monday night. In other words, if you watch theyoungturks.com live on Monday night, you will notice our regular three hour show with a postgame to follow for our members.

Cenk will be at a fancy shmancy conference in Austin Friday night and will not be able to do host the show. Thus, there will be no show on Friday. But don't worry because we will make up for it by having a show on Sunday night instead.
On Sunday night at 9pm ET/6pm PT TYT will do the show live on theyoungturks.com. Again, there will be no show on Friday night.

As my summer interhsip with The Young Turks winds to a quick close, I just wanted to drop a quick note to say

from the studio crew here at Rebel HeadQuarters,
to the diligent Web Soldiers,
to the cool cats in the chat room
It's been an honor and an absolute pleasure to serve as the Director of Hype these past two months. It's been a dream internship come true.
I never truly understood what a family The Young Turks really is, until I got here to LA and actually started living and working as a Young Turk, myself.
I feel like I have more friends, all over the country and world, than I had when I started.
No worries. I'll be around, because I believe in you, just like we believe in The Young Turks.

As many of you know, this is my last week as the official Summer Intern for The Young Turks here in sunny LA.

Alright guys, here's the deal:
There will obviously be no show tomorrow since it's 4th of July. We will also not have a show on Monday. However, we will be back on Tuesday with a whole new schedule.
Because of our new contract with XM Satellite Radio, our political show will air Monday through Friday, 9-11pm ET. After our two hour political show, we will have our usual postgame show, where we talk about entertainment, absurd news, and play hilarious games that you will love and enjoy.
So just to be clear, the next time our show will air is Tuesday, July 8th at 9:00pm ET (6:00pm PT). Have an awesome Holiday weekend!
