New TYT Fan Art Page...Please Submit

I'd like to take a quick moment to draw your attention to the new Fan Art page at the top of our home page.

Now, we know that we have plenty of talented artist and graphic designers in The Young Turks Nation, and we encourage you to get creative and submit you work to us.

We also encourage folks to help spread the work of The Young Turks by posting some of this TYT artwork on your own Web sites.

We also would like you guys to submit pictures of yourselves in your TYT t-shirts. The photos will go on the new Fan Art page as well.

Remember, the page will be an ongoing work-in-progress, and updated once every two weeks or so. 

Now get busy, get creative, and continue to support The Young Turks!

Young Turks Schedule for June 10 and 11

On Tuesday, June 10th, there will be no TYT show. Cenk will be attending a conference all day, and no guests hosts were available on short notice.  Since there is no show to watch, please use the extra time wisely by reading a book.

On Wednesday, June 11th, the show will air at 9pm ET / 6pm PT.  We resume our normal schedule on Thursday.  Thanks for watching!

In George Bush's America, a political thug like Karl Rove can initiate legal prosecutions against political opponents for political motivations. Case in point, former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman, who was jailed on spurious charges after a US Dept of Justice prosecution, apparently pushed by Karl Rove.  The Young Turks are outraged, and you should be too.  Please consider purchasing a Free Don Siegelman t-shirt or button.

We know you guys are wondering what happened with our youtube channel. We are suspended for what is said to be "copyright violations," but in all reality, David Copperfeild and Prince didn't like our clips about them and had us kicked off.

But there is still hope! We have been posting our clips on myspace too!

I work more than most 21 year olds should, and when I'm not at one of my two jobs, I'm in school working on a Masters. As a result, my free time is spent watching mindless, brain-mushing television. Sometimes I just don't want to think, and reality shows absolutely fall into the category of mindless television. One night, I came across Tila Tequila's "A Shot at Love," on MTV and it had the one element I love about television: It was ridiculously stupid. In fact, it was so stupid that I felt a few of my brain cells diminish as I was watching. The bisexual sex-pot has men and women enter a competitive battle for her "love." It's like watching "The Bachelor," except there's a hoochie running the show, and both men and women get to play.

There's nothing like getting threatening and hateful emails from my Armenian counterparts. My absolute favorite emails include those that pose the question, "How can you work for the people who orchestrated the Armenian Genocide?"
