Los Angeles Times

Sunday, October 08, 2006

A former House page says he had sex with then-Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla., after receiving explicit e-mails in which the congressman described assessing the sexual orientation and physical attributes of underage pages but waiting until later to make direct advances.

Are they going to try to run another candidate instead of Hastert?  Isn't it too late to change his name on the ballot?

The only thing Hastert is in danger of losing is the House Majority seat, not his actual seat in Congress. That would be a Republican in-fighting problem, not a general "voting" issue. He will face his constituents as expected in November.

Acroso posted this story first in another thread.  He's like Fox news, injecting an innoculation.

Throwing Hastert to the wolves would be a false admission of guilt in a misreported gay sex scandal. If anything a cannibalistic feeding frenzy would only fuel the left. They'd want Boehner next and then Bunt, next Bush, etc etc etc. This is all about nothing except a media attempt to hijack an election because the left is for the most part bankrupt on patriotism and ideas.

Hastert is an excellent majority leader and it should stay that way.

Rob Emmanuel and Nancy Pelosi both refuse to go under oath on the Foley scandal.

I imagine both of them knew of this for months and had saved it. They then misreported it as some sort of child sex scandal when in reality it was a gay internet IMs scandal. Divert the public from their plan to turn the U.S.A. into a third world country and their plan to surrender in the war on terror.

Who asked them to go under oath? What would be the purpose of it? As far as Drudge goes, he hasn't gotten much right so far. he has come up with 3 or 4 different scenarios that are easily refuteable. Its actually fun watching him flail about trying to find something that will stick.

How could Dems go after them, wouldn't be because they are a pack of lying, thieving, pedophile protecting, race baiting gay bashers, huh?

Wouldn't be because they broke any laws huh?

Bush doesn't have to worry, with so many signing statements, he can ignore any law or oath (like defending the constitution)

BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN

If you are a Dem, they will investigate you for things that didn't happen decades before. If they can't find anything they will keep investigating even if it means investigating your cat.
