George Galloway Does Not Come as the Accused, He Comes as the Accuser

We do not agree with everything George Galloway has to say here, or in other places. He does not give a balanced presentation. He sometimes goes over the top. All of that being said, watch this interview with him on Sky TV and ask yourself why isn't there one single voice in America effectively representing this point of view?

It is absolutely true that there will not be peace between Israel and her neighbors until Israel withdraws from all occupied lands that it has seized since 1967. You might disagree and think Israel should keep the seized land, but this is the formula for "more of the same" war and terrorism that the world has seen since the 1967/1973 wars and occupation. I'm not saying that I agree with the terrorists or that their tactics are in any way justified, but 30 years of U.S. support for Israel's continued occupation is what is fueling Islamic extremism. This is not a liberal position (the Clinton's are hardly any better than the neo-cons on this), but really a true conservative position. Mr. Conservative, Pat Buchanan is about the only politician/ spokesperson who understands how misguided the US policy of unquestioned support for Israel has been.

Whenever someone suggests that BOTH sides of the issue be looked at, they are instantly labeled an anti-semitic, jew hating, son of Mel Gibson.

Anyone looking for a singular "right and wrong" in describing these problems and offering solutions does not realistically want to FIND a solution.

Israel has been acting like the spoiled stepbrother of the biggest bully in the neighborhood.

Jemaah Islamiah is attempting to topple Indonesia's government because Israel occupies some dirt in the Middle East? Right. The Taleban is regrouping and attempting to overthrow Hamid Karzai because Israel occupies some dirt? Right.

Pat Buchanan with all his criticism has not endorsed a course of action now we're in the mess. He also gave an endorsement of Bush in the 2004 elections.

I imagine if he were to endorse a position it would be something along the Schumer plan that splits the country into 3 parts. However, after having the Iraqis risk their lives twice to vote and after establishing a democratic government there, it's kind of difficult to just dissolve the government and start a new.

The only real choice is the stay the course, which will entail more troops, more funds, and more years.

The other option is a state without a government controlled by militias and terrorists or
Iran.

Keep in mind out economy was growing at 5% in the first quarter this year. Even if economic growth is 3% this year that means our overall economy will have grown by 300 billion in one year. The deficits we're running right now are pennies in the barrel compared to WW2 spending.
Iraq is the fault of the U.S.A., and it is responsible for cleaning it up. That included the Lieberman and Murtha’s who beat the Bush war drum during the lead up.

Neocons are awesome at creating artificial binaries.
