Lieberman Must be Stopped Before It's Too Late

Lieberman must be stopped before it is too late.

By allowing Lieberman to impose his arrogant and greedy will upon the people of Connecticut, the Democratic Party will dig its own grave because:

-We will be destroying the primary election process forever. It will set a very bad precedent.

-Incumbents will rule supreme no matter how bad they are.

-We will effectively discourage young, dynamic people with better qualifications from running.

-There should be a party discipline to prevent these kinds of imperial senators who lose but feel that they are more important than the party itself.

-If GOP support helps him to get elected, all the Democratic Party will be intimidated for long time to come.

-Even though 60% of US is against Iraq war now, if we allow Lieberman to win, the Democratic Party will deserve to be in the minority. That means Democrats are tacitly approving this disastrous administration.

For God's sake the leaders (elders) of the Democratic Party please, please wake up from deep sleep and at least on this show the world that you control your own family.

I am inviting all American citizens who believe that Iraq war has to stop come forward, do something extraordinary and help Ned Lamont to win. If you don't, don't blame the neocons, Rummy, Cheney and even the helpless president, for the waste of young lives and trillion dollar budget deficits.

So if the libs pick up the six senate seats that would give them 51-49 control, I don't the lefties in the senate will be too quick to strip Lieberman of his seniority status. If they do, the republicans will be quick to accept him into their party and honor his status since it would than give them control back.

I personally think the lemont lieberman thing is good for the country.  I'm sick of the 2 party system.  We need real choices.  The people of connecticut now have a choice.  They get to vote for who they think would truely represent them the best.  If joe thinks he is that person, then by all means he should leave his party and continue to run.

Now, if joe were to win, i would be very disapointed if the democrats welcome him back into their party.  Joe made a choice to leave his party and run as an independent and he should stay that way.  He is welcome to join the republicans or to start his own party(or even better join one of the established 3rd parties), but the democratic voters of conn have told him they don't want him to represent their party.

I frankly don't care if Lieberman wins or not. I mean he's slightly better than Lamont, but Liebers a party line lib on most issues minus Iraq and the Alito filibuster vote. Voting for cloture on that might make me vote for him IDK, but he voted against Alito nontheless.

Lieberman is effectively the republican nominee at this point. The republican in the race is only getting 4% or so, so most of Liberman's support is coming from the right. He's jsut amounting to a very very liberal republican.
