Two QuotesThat Exemplify Current Republicans

"There are some people, and I'm one of them, that believe George Bush was placed where he is by the Lord," Tomanio said. "I don't care how he governs, I will support him. I'm a Republican through and through."

These two quotes tell you all you need to know about who is left in the Republican Party.

First, here is a woman in Colorado who tells the New York Times that we don't need to look into facts, blind allegiance is the better way to go:

"I agree with what he is doing," said Ms. Goodman, a Republican, who said the public could not always know the reasoning behind the administration's actions. "We have to trust our leadership, and we have to trust our military, and we have to trust that they want to protect us."

Then, Associated Press has what might be my favorite quote of all time:

At a watermelon festival in Chickamauga, in the mountains of northwest Georgia, substitute teacher Clydeen Tomanio said she remains committed to the party she's called home for 43 years.

"There are some people, and I'm one of them, that believe
George Bush was placed where he is by the Lord," Tomanio said. "I don't care how he governs, I will support him. I'm a Republican through and through."

I don't care how he governs -- that says it all.

Then she finishes with "I'm a Republican through and through." You said it!

"There are some people, and I'm one of them, that believe George Bush was placed where he is by the Lord Supreme Court," Tomanio R23 said. "I don't care how he governs, therefore I will cannot support him. I'm a Republican an American through and through."

Fixed that quote for you.  No thanks are necessary.

The people who believe that God sent George Bush often believe that God sends tornadoes & hurricaines as well.

What they fail to grasp is that God may have sent Bush in the same spirit of ruin and destruction.

As an atheist, I take the election of Bush as proof that god cannot exist.
