    The right has been involved in a covert operation against the media for decades. Ever heard of the "liberal news media" Always depicting the media (our primary news source) as being against the right and the White, if you know what I mean. At the same time they began to introduce their minions into the media themselves providing an alternate universe of news ie: Rush Linbaugh. Slowly through the years they have added to this. Cable has been a boon to the disinformation. Some think that the "marketplace" would cause a natural adjustment but it hasn't. The reason is that the mergers and the mega-corperations are owed by conservatives.  Phil Donahue had one of the highest rated shows of its type and he gets cancelled? The Path to 911 was not cancelled due to the concerns of accuracy. The Reagans' was cancelled at the demand of the right. It is quite apparent that you can defame a liberal but not a conservative. Look at the hosts of many of these so-called "news" outlets. From Matthews to O'donnell to Blitzer look at the loaded questions Democrats are asked and repeatedly hammered with, while republicans are giving softball questions or when asked a tough question simply lie or are allowed change the subject. The only way things are going to change is that Democrats must start using the same tactics. They must begin to attack the media when necessary, refuse to do interviews, not allow themselves to be ambushed 3-1 on these talk shows and RESPOND TO ATTACKS BY REPUBLICANS. Remember the "I voted for it before I voted against it" Kerry should have payed for the time to do an ad showing exactly what the difference was between the 2 bills. Instead he seem to rely on the media who could only seem to say flip-flopper. The same thing was true with the swift boat attacks. How about doing an ad with O'Neill shaking hands with Nixon asking this question "can you trust this man" and then proceed to document the lies of O'Niel and his allies.
