This NYT article has a nuanced, interesting view of how the Iraqi government is reacting to the escalation. It shows the good and the bad. It has very good information and appears to be a really fine piece of journalism.
In some ways, it makes me hopeful that they at least appear to be trying this time and in other ways it worries me because of their motivations. We'll talk about it on the show today.
