A Republican Leader Has Endorsed a Clear Racist

Eric Cantor is the
Chief Deputy Majority Whip for the House Republicans. That means he is one of the leaders of the Republicans in the United States Congress. Recently he said that he was
"very proud to endorse" Frank Hargrove, a fellow Republican from Virginia.
Who is Frank Hargrove?
He is the Virginia state legislator who said earlier this week that
blacks "should get over" slavery. He is also wondered if Jews should "apologize for killing Christ?"
What's in the water in Virginia? How many racist and bigoted politicians can one state produce? They're beginning to make Texas look open minded. Between Virgil Goode, George "Macaca" Allen and Frank Hargrove, you have a murderer's row of racists all in one state.
By the way, I have always been amused at the absurd idea that the Jews killed Jesus. Jesus was a Jew! Blaming Jewish people because they killed Jesus Christ, while ignoring that Jesus Christ was Jewish is the most asinine reason for bigotry ever invented. Let alone the fact that the Jews didn't actually kill Jesus, and that Jesus probably never even existed. But if you're going to be stupid, at least try to be a little logical about it.
Anyway, back to the Republicans. Will Eric Cantor apologize for endorsing Hargrove, a clear racist? Or will he proudly endorse him again?
I understand that Cantor can't be held responsible for everything that Frank Hargrove has done in his life because he endorsed him, but there should at least be an acknowledgement that Cantor made a mistake. Rep. Cantor should say clearly that he committed a significant error in judgment in trusting that Frank Hargrove could competently and fairly represent all of his constituents.
Doesn't someone vested with the power of national leadership at least owe us that much? It would be nice to see someone in Republican leadership admit they're wrong for a change.
