Joe Lieberman could possibly vote for a Republican in '08

We can't continue to criticize him, as he simply left the party and is no longer a Democrat.

If you listened carefully to the interview, when Chris Wallace asked him which of the candidates in the democratic field he would vote for, Joe answered something like he thought the question was directed at him--like "are you considering running Joe? will you give me the exclusive? dems and reps are begging you to"--and then when Wallace ignored him Lieberman proceeded to explain that he may vote for an independant, "of which there aren't any good ones out there, but stay tuned Chris" (paraphrased of course). I wouldn't swear on my life but I think he winked.

If you ask me, we shouldn't wait for him to leave the party, we should throw him out before he splits the field and acts like a spoiler ala ross perot.

Democrats have to pick their poison.  Tolerate Lieberman and whatever damage he may do to their party's cohesion or give up the majority in the Senate.  Frankly, IMO the Democrat majority in the Senate is the better check against the Bush Administration and better for the national interest.  Joe may be a PIA but as long as he caucuses with the Dem's they control committees and set the agenda.  Do Senate Dems really want to give that up because they're tired of Lieberman's act?  I don't think so, they'll just have to grow thicker skin.
